To get a real estate license in Virginia, you must pass the state and national portions of the exam. Several test centers across Virginia offer these tests on a daily basis. The required score is 75 percent on each part. Failure in one of these sections will require you to retake the exam at a cost of $60. However, if you already have a real estate license in another state, you can transfer it to Virginia. This will reduce the cost of the application process.
